The Studio Art Club of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo stands in solidarity with the Black community. 

 

As an organization on campus, it is our duty and responsibility to cultivate an inclusive and equitable environment that welcomes and serves members of all races and backgrounds. 

 

We recognize that most of us will never be able to understand the pain and suffering that has been inflicted upon the Black community, but with empathy in our hearts, we are here to say that we see you, we value you, and we stand with you, in this fight for racial justice and equality. 

 

We condemn all acts of racism, discrimination, and prejudice and understand that it is our responsibility to raise awareness, take action, and educate ourselves, to stop the institutionalized brutality and injustices that Black individuals face.

We refuse to be complicit and we refuse to keep silent. We stand with the Black community.
